Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of culinary, Food and Nutrition and Dietetics, Hotel and Restaurant Management or any related degree
• National Certificate II or relevant training in commercial cooking and baking
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Line Cook or in hot kitchen

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and ensure proper mise en place
• Cook and plate menu items according to recipes and quality standards
• Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation, and portioning
• Keep workstation clean, organized, and compliant with food safety standards
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and report maintenance concerns
• Coordinate with chefs and service staff to ensure timely order preparation
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team during service
• Help reduce food waste and maintain efficient kitchen operations
