Job summary

The Abaca Group Inc. is seeking a Line Cook to join our Metro Manila kitchen team. You will prepare and cook items according to recipes and portion standards, helping ensure quality and consistency across all dishes.

You will manage mise en place, support station readiness during service, and maintain sanitation and safety at all times. This role offers growth opportunities with a pioneering restaurant store in Manila.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of line cook or similar kitchen experience in a restaurant, hotel, or food service environment.
• Culinary arts or related degree is an advantage.
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a kitchen team.
• willingness to learn and grow as part of a pioneering team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items according to recipes, standards, and portion specifications.
• Execute assigned station duties efficiently while maintaining quality, consistency, and presentation.
• Ensure proper mise en place and readiness of the assigned station before and during service.
• Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards at all times.
• Monitor food quality and freshness and report any concerns to the Sous Chef or Chef-in-Charge.
• Assist in receiving, storing, and organizing kitchen supplies and ingredients.
• Support the team in establishing kitchen procedures and standards as part of the pioneering team for the new restaurant store in Manila.
