Qualifications

10+ years of life underwriting experience.
5+ years in underwriting leadership, management, or development roles.
Strong exposure to US life underwriting is highly preferred.
Proven experience coaching and developing underwriting professionals.
In-depth understanding of life insurance trends and underwriting technologies.
Strong data-driven decision-making and analytical capabilities.

Responsibilities

Underwrite applications and manage complex risk assessments.
Dedicate approximately 50% of time to hands-on case underwriting.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of underwriters.
Support recruitment, onboarding, and training initiatives.
Implement quality assurance and performance management frameworks.
Partner with underwriting leadership to optimise workflows and operational efficiency.
Contribute to underwriting automation and rules engine development.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across underwriting operations.
