Responsibilities

• Preparing and filing customs declarations/entries
• Classifying imported products under the proper tariff/HS codes
• Reviewing commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, permits, and other import documents
• Computing/checking customs duties, VAT, and other applicable charges
• Coordinating with the Bureau of Customs
• Monitoring shipments from arrival until release
• Handling customs examination and documentary requirements
• Coordinating with shipping lines, freight forwarders, ports, and government agencies
• Ensuring compliance with customs laws and regulations
• Maintaining complete importation and customs records
• Assisting in resolving customs discrepancies, holds, assessments, and other issues
• Advising management on the customs implications and costs of proposed imports
