Job summary

Mercator by Citco in Makati seeks a junior corporate lawyer to support our global subsidiary governance services. You will work with senior lawyers, assisting in providing governance support for clients with worldwide presence.

Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing documents from incorporation to dissolution, performing statutory filings, coordinating with partners worldwide, and ensuring compliance with local and international requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have a degree in Law (or last year student).
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Flexible, proactive and attentive to details with strong communication.
• 1+ years of corporate services experience or 2+ years in corporate law.

Your Role:

• Will act independently and assist senior lawyers in the provision of corporate subsidiary governance services to clients with worldwide presence

• Prepare and review legal documents for all stages of company lifecycle, i.e. from company incorporation through to dissolution, for clients worldwide in accordance to legal requirements with agreed deadlines

• Perform and/or monitor statutory filings with local authorities

• Coordinate with business partners, clients and colleagues worldwide in order to gather information and/or documentation required to carry out assignments

• Ensure that client’s, local, international and industry specific requirements are met and legal updates are shared

• Maintain data and ensure proper reporting

About You:

• Must have a degree in Law (or last year student)

• Have 1+ years of experience in provision corporate services to international clients or 2+ years of experience in corporate law field

• Fluent in English (written and spoken)

• Flexible, proactive and attentive to details team player with excellent communication skills
