Position Summary:
The Legal Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all legal matters in the Philippines.
This role ensures full compliance with local laws and regulations, provides strategic legal support to business operations, and mitigates legal risks in a multi-jurisdictional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Legal Compliance & Regulatory Affairs
Ensure company operations comply with applicable laws and regulations in the Philippines.
Monitor changes in labor law, corporate law, commercial law, and regulatory requirements in all three jurisdictions.
Coordinate with local legal consultants and government authorities when required.
2. Corporate & Commercial Legal Support
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, MOUs, NDAs, and other legal documents across all countries.
Provide legal advice on business expansion, corporate structuring, licensing, and registration matters.
Support cross-border transactions and intercompany agreements.
3. Employment & Labor Law
Advise HR and management on employment-related matters, including labor disputes, termination, disciplinary actions, and compliance with local labor regulations.
Review and standardize employment contracts and internal policies across the three countries while ensuring local compliance.
Identify and assess legal risks related to company operations and propose mitigation strategies.
Handle legal disputes, claims, and potential litigation, including coordination with external lawyers.
Manage documentation and evidence related to disputes or investigations.
5. Corporate Governance & Internal Policies
Ensure proper corporate governance practices are implemented in each country.
Develop, review, and update internal legal policies and procedures.
Provide legal training and guidance to management and relevant departments.
6. Reporting & Coordination
Prepare regular legal reports for regional management.
Act as the main legal point of contact for regional and headquarters stakeholders.
Coordinate legal matters among local teams the Philippines.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB or equivalent); Master’s degree is a plus.
Licensed or qualified legal practitioner in the Philippines; regional legal exposure is highly preferred.
Minimum 3–10 years of legal experience, preferably in multinational or regional companies.
Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, and labor law.
Experience handling cross-border legal matters in Southeast Asia is a strong advantage.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English (written and spoken).
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently across multiple jurisdictions.
