Job summary

The Midfield Group is seeking a Training & Development Specialist to advance learning initiatives across the organization. You will develop engaging learning solutions via in-person, e-learning, and self-directed materials, and align programs with compliance and professional development needs.

You will manage the Canvas LMS, collaborate with department heads, explore AI-enhanced training, map needs, and help launch a new training portal while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in Learning & Development across multiple formats.
• Strong knowledge of Learning Management Systems (Canvas preferred).
• Experience in digital course creation and AI integration in training is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• A team-oriented approach with strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Ability to engage with stakeholders across levels and functions to drive training initiatives.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks and training governance is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop, support, and manage engaging learning solutions across formats.
• Collaborate with department heads to implement L&D strategy and calendar.
• Design training materials aligned to compliance and development needs.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on the Learning Management System (Canvas), ensuring its smooth operation and continuous improvement.
• Use AI to enhance training delivery and e-learning modules.
• Identify new training program opportunities and convert concepts into initiatives.
• Assess and map training needs across departments and roles to business goals.
• Assist in the design and creation of training content with innovative tools and AI.
• Participate in launching a new training portal to streamline content delivery and tracking.
• Monitor emerging technologies and recommend their integration into the training framework.
