Job summary

Vantive seeks a Principal Engineer, Systems (Model based development) to lead embedded control software for advanced dialysis devices. You will drive model-based design, simulation, and code generation using MATLAB/Simulink, ensuring robust real-time performance and seamless hardware integration.

You will establish MIL/SIL/PIL/HIL strategies, enforce MISRA‑C/C++, IEC 62304, ISO 14971 and ISO 60601 compliance, and mentor cross-functional teams while shaping CI/CD for models and generated code.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electronics and Communications, Electrical & Electronics, Automation or Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• 15 years of relevant industrial experience in model-based development.
• Experience with design controls and risk management in medical device software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the MBD framework, methodology, and governance for MATLAB/Simulink, Stateflow, and Embedded Coder.
• Create system-level models (plant + controller) for electro‑mechanical behaviors and safety interlocks.
• Define modeling guidelines, libraries, and reference architectures for reuse and traceability.
• Translate requirements into executable models and maintain end-to-end traceability from DOORS to tests to code.
