Job summary

Varex Imaging Corporation is seeking an experienced Electrical/Embedded Systems Engineer to design, validate and improve electrical systems for medical imaging components. You will collaborate with Competence Center and Operations to ensure compliant, safe, and high-yield manufacturing.

You will drive EMI/EMC design, DFM/DFT/DFR initiatives, and support software and firmware efforts, with documentation and training across Engineering and Production teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Embedded Systems, or related field.
• 3+ years in electrical product development, embedded systems, or industrial automation.
• Experience in medical device manufacturing or regulated industries is a plus.
• Experience with electrical design, testing, and validation.
• Knowledge of product development lifecycle and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Delivering assigned project tasks according to commitments.
• Designs, validates, and improves electrical, electronic, and embedded control systems.
• Designs for EMC/EMI, grounding, shielding, filtering, and PCB layout practices.
• Plans, executes, and documents prototype builds, tests, and design reviews.
• Leads investigations and corrective actions for electrical design issues and failures.
• Supports DFM, DFT, and DFR initiatives.
• Supports software and firmware development for embedded systems.
• Evaluates new electrical technologies to improve manufacturing capability.
• Develops engineering documentation and validation protocols.
• Delivers training and knowledge transfer to teams.
