Job summary

Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. is seeking a Lead Electronic Engineer to provide technical leadership for a multidisciplinary team of electrical, firmware, and mechanical engineers and technicians. This role drives new product development, sustaining engineering, customer programs, and regulatory compliance.

You will monitor project progress, coordinate cross‑functional teams, influence architecture decisions, and ensure design controls and risk management meet ISO 13485 and FDA requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 7+ years of engineering product development experience.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Experience with project planning and execution.
• Experience supporting product development from concept through production release.

Responsibilities

• Monitor progress of the project to ensure that the customer expectations, schedule, cost targets, etc. can and are being met.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams including mechanical, electrical, firmware, PCB, manufacturing, and quality.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on architecture decisions, design trade-offs, risk assessments, verification strategies, and product development best practices.
• Ensure engineering activities comply with design control requirements, risk management processes, verification and validation plans, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Support change control processes, including scope, schedule, and resource changes.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team including electrical, firmware, mechanical engineers, and technicians.
