Job summary

CI&T is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in the Philippines to lead design, development, and delivery of scalable features. You will mentor engineers, participate in architecture discussions, and drive best practices across front-end, back-end, and cloud stacks.

You will collaborate with product managers and clients, own technical estimates, and support releases, while ensuring performance, reliability, and maintainability in distributed systems.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud-native architectures.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture and system design.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience mentoring engineers and conducting code reviews.
• Familiarity with monitoring, observability, and production support.
• Experience optimizing application performance and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable software features and complex system enhancements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues through root cause analysis and sustainable solutions.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions.
• Establish and promote coding standards, best practices, automated testing, and code review culture.
• Build and maintain reliable monitoring, observability, and alerting for production systems.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and system reliability.
• Identify and reduce technical debt while continuously improving system health.
• Evaluate new technologies and lead proof-of-concept initiatives when appropriate.
