Job summary

CI&T is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for technical leadership, architecture decisions, and end-to-end delivery. You will mentor engineers, collaborate with clients and Product Managers, and drive modern tooling and processes in a global team.

The role emphasizes REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-native patterns, with strong focus on performance, observability, and maintainability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud-native architectures.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture and system design.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience mentoring engineers and conducting code reviews.
• Familiarity with monitoring, observability, and production support.
• Experience optimizing application performance and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable software features and complex system enhancements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues through root cause analysis and sustainable solutions.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions.
• Establish and promote coding standards, best practices, automated testing, and code review culture.
• Build and maintain reliable monitoring, observability, and alerting for production systems.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and system reliability.
• Identify and reduce technical debt while continuously improving system health.
• Evaluate new technologies and lead proof-of-concept initiatives when appropriate.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and technical coaching.
• Support onboarding and knowledge transfer across projects and systems.
• Contribute to technical interviews and candidate evaluations.
• Help foster a collaborative engineering culture focused on continuous learning and improvement.
• Share expertise through technical discussions, documentation, and internal training sessions.
• Own complex development tasks from design through deployment.
• Deliver high-quality solutions within agreed timelines.
• Provide technical estimates and contribute to sprint planning.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage technical dependencies.
• Support release management, deployments, regression testing, and production validation.
• Balance new feature development with maintenance and technical debt reduction.
• Work closely with Product Managers, clients, and stakeholders to understand business requirements.
• Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Participate in technical discussions, solution reviews, and project planning.
• Communicate production issues, resolutions, and project updates clearly to stakeholders.
• Support solution demonstrations and technical consultations when needed.
