Angkas, based in Manila, is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to drive technical excellence and architectural decisions across our systems. You will guide a team of engineers, design scalable Go-based solutions, and shape event-driven architectures using Kafka, Redis, and PostgreSQL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS or related field completed.
• 7+ years of professional development experience.
• Expertise in Go (Golang), Kafka, K8s, Redis and PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of advanced programming design patterns.
• Ability to teach and demonstrate clean, maintainable code.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with high scalability and high availability systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance.
• Own a set of software components and drive design decisions.
• Lead architectural discussions and deliver implementation plans.
• Contribute as senior software engineer and run the software, including on-call duties.
• Ensure delivery performance and mentor team members.
• Collaborate with product, design and other stakeholders.
