Job summary

Angkas is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Manila to drive technical excellence and architectural decisions. You will lead cross-functional teams, own critical components, and mentor engineers while delivering scalable, secure systems using Go, Kafka, K8s, Redis, and PostgreSQL.

You’ll collaborate with product managers and designers, provide technical guidance, and participate in 24x7 on-call responsibilities. A strong emphasis on leadership and high-availability design defines this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 7+ years of professional development experience.
• Expertise in Go (Golang), Kafka, K8s, Redis, and PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of advanced programming design patterns.
• Capability to teach and demonstrate writing clean and maintainable code.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Proficiency with high scalability and high availability systems.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Technical Leadership:
