Job summary

Phil-Nippon Kyoei Corp in Manila is seeking a cost engineer/quantity surveyor to prepare detailed cost estimates across plumbing, fire protection, HVAC and CSA works, review drawings, and support procurement.

You will monitor project costs, process variation orders, and maintain cost records, collaborating with project managers, site engineers, and suppliers to ensure accurate cost control from bid to close-out.

Qualifications

• Experienced in construction and quantity surveying/ cost engineering/ construction cost control.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (ME or CE preferred); License is an advantage.
• Training in quantity surveying, cost estimation, contract management, procurement, or project controls is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PlanSwift/estimating software; knowledgeable in construction methods, materials, & applicable building codes.
• Experienced in cold storage or related projects; strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs and detailed cost estimates focusing on plumbing, fire pro, HVAC and CSA works.
• Review construction drawings and specifications for cost and quantity verification
• Prepare bid evaluations, comparative cost analyses, and procurement support documents.
• Monitor project costs and budget utilization.
• Prepare and evaluate progress billings
• Assess and process variation orders, change orders, and additional works.
• Coordinate with office personnel, project manager, site engineers, contractors, and suppliers regarding cost-related matters.
• Maintain cost records and prepare project cost reports.
• Assist in contract administration and project close-out documentation.
