Job summary

BKL Construction Corporation in the Philippines seeks a dedicated Quantity Surveyor to support cost control and budgeting for civil projects in Metro Manila. You will produce quantity take-offs from drawings, prepare BOQs, and assist in developing cost estimates and project budgets while ensuring alignment with specifications.

You will review plans, coordinate with site and procurement teams, monitor costs and variations, and verify quantities with site visits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, Estimation, Cost Control, or Construction.
• Knowledge of quantity take-off, BOQ, cost estimation, and construction materials.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office (Excel).
• Familiarity with Planswift, CostX, or similar software is a plus.
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Willing to perform site visits and coordinate with teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings, specs, and site requirements.
• Prepare cost estimates, material estimates, and project budgets.
• Review plans, drawings, specs, and scope of work.
• Prepare and monitor BOQ.
• Monitor project costs, quantities, materials, and variations.
• Prepare and review progress billings, accomplishment reports, and supporting docs.
• Assist in preparing quotations, bid proposals, and cost comparisons.
• Coordinate with site engineers, project engineers, procurement, accounting, and subcontractors.
• Evaluate variation orders, additional works, and change orders.
• Conduct site visits and verify actual quantities and accomplishments.
• Maintain accurate records of project costs and quantities.
