Job summary

Radix HR is seeking an experienced Pastry Chef to lead the café-restaurant’s pastry and baking operations in Lipa, Batangas. You will oversee daily production, mentor the pastry team, and ensure high quality and consistency across all desserts, breads, and pastries.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts or related field, at least 5 years in pastry with 2 in leadership, strong knowledge of food safety and cost control, and a willingness to work full-time on-site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry Arts, or related field.
• At least 5 years of professional pastry and baking experience, with 2 in supervision.
• Strong knowledge of pastry production, baking techniques, and sanitation.
• Willing to work full-time on-site in Lipa, Batangas.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the daily production of pastries, cakes, breads, desserts, and other baked products.
• Ensure consistency in taste, texture, appearance, quality, and presentation of pastry products.
• Develop and improve pastry recipes, desserts, and baked products to complement the menu and coffee offerings.
• Plan and monitor daily pastry production based on operations and demand.
• Supervise and train pastry staff to ensure proper execution of recipes and kitchen procedures.
• Manage pastry inventory, usage, purchasing, and storage procedures.
• Monitor food costs, portion control, wastage, and usage to support cost efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and kitchen hygiene standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized pastry production area.
• Coordinate with Head Chef and kitchen team for smooth operations.
• Monitor use and maintenance of pastry equipment.
• Stay updated on pastry trends and product development.
