Job summary

onsemi is seeking a Machine Shop Supervisor to lead production planning, team coaching, and quality control across a busy machining facility. You will oversee operator performance, enforce safety standards including PPE and OSHA guidelines, and drive continuous improvement in tool usage and equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of hands-on machining experience, often with leadership exposure.
• Strong CNC, manual machining, blueprints reading, and CAD/CAM software skills.
• Clear verbal and written communication to coordinate with engineering, maintenance and management.

Responsibilities

• Tool design, assembly, manufacturing processing, cost estimating, systems planning, layout and standards coordination.
• Ensure optimum utilization of equipment and space; coordinate layout of storage and test areas.
• Supervise and support employees in the work cell; direct machine operators and staff.
• Inspect safety regulations; enforce EH&S requirements and proper PPE use.
• Maintain production reports and investigate near misses and accidents.
