Job summary

Amadeus leads the Loyalty competency center, delivering Java-based solutions at global scale. The Lead Principal Engineer will guide architecture and delivery, collaborating with cross-functional teams to build scalable loyalty services using Java, Spring Boot, and Kubernetes.

You will shape technical strategy, mentor engineers, and ensure robust, high-quality software throughout the lifecycle. This role emphasizes ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement within a global travel tech

Qualifications

• Experience developing enterprise software applications using Java and Java EE.
• Experience with Spring Boot, Spring or Hibernate.
• Experience leading technical delivery within Agile environments.
• Experience designing and optimizing multithreaded or concurrent applications.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and engineering principles.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of Java-based applications and services with hands-on guidance.
• Provide technical leadership across the SDLC from design to operations.
• Investigate and resolve complex technical challenges with root-cause analysis.
• Drive continuous improvement, reduce technical debt, and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.
