Job summary

Amadeus is seeking a Manager, Software Engineering (Java and Loyalty Solutions) to lead a dedicated team serving a specific airline customer. You will align priorities with the roadmap, drive technical execution, and maintain high-quality delivery while adhering to security standards.

You will shape the customer journey, manage a mix of local and remote engineers, and foster continuous improvement, innovation, and robust operational practices across the software lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience in technical leadership and management roles.
• Strong expertise across the software development lifecycle.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to influence strategy and make complex decisions.

Responsibilities

• Team Management & Engagement: lead local and remote team members, align objectives with goals, support development, and drive continuous improvement.
• Technical Excellence: clarify requirements, assess risks, oversee architecture, ensure CI/CD, build tooling and monitoring, participate in RFPs and migration assessments.
• Problem Solving: identify recurring issues, propose long-term solutions, and analyze impacts.
• Innovation: foster collaboration, evaluate ideas, improve product and development stability.
• Change Management: navigate priorities, provide feedback, involve team in decisions.
• Internal Policies and Procedures: ensure security, prepare management materials, cascade decisions.
