Job summary

Insular Oil Corporation in Davao City is seeking a licensed chemist to lead our chemical laboratory in Sasa. The ideal candidate has strong leadership, excellent communication, and solid MS Office skills, with wet chemistry and instrumentation experience.

You will supervise laboratory analysts, certify analyses, monitor quality of products and raw materials, and plan daily to annual activities. Fresh graduates are welcome, but 5 years in related field is preferred and willingness to be on-call.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed chemist.
• At least 5 years of related field experience.
• Willing to work in Sasa, Davao.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Must have chemical laboratory experience.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Willing to be on-call 24/7 and do field work.
• Adept in chemical laboratory work (wet chemistry and instrumentation).
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Experience in a Quality Assurance Laboratory is an advantage.
• Can start immediately.
• Full-Time position(s) available.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the chemical laboratory and direct head of laboratory analysts.
• Certifies a chemical analysis as performed by laboratory analysts and performs chemical analysis as required.
• Monitors and checks the quality of the product, raw materials, and by-products during receiving and outgoing.
• Plans, monitors and performs daily, weekly, monthly and annual activities in laboratory.
• Follows and performs duty assigned by immediate heads and performs other duties or task that may be assigned from time to time.
