Job summary

Insular Oil Corporation in Davao is seeking a licensed chemist to supervise its chemical laboratory in Sasa, Davao. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in the related field and is ready to lead a team on-site.

Requirements include strong leadership and communication skills, proficiency in MS Office, ability to work with less supervision, willingness to be on-call 24/7 and perform field work. Fresh graduates are welcome; QA laboratory experience is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Licensed Chemist with at least 5 years of related field experience.
• Willing to work in Sasa, Davao.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Experience in a Chemical Laboratory (wet chemistry and instrumentation) is preferred.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Experience in Quality Assurance Laboratory is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the chemical laboratory and direct head of laboratory analysts.
• Certifies a chemical analysis as performed by laboratory analysts and performs chemical analysis as required.
• Monitors and checks the quality of the product, raw materials, and by-products during receiving and outgoing.
• Plans, monitors and performs daily, weekly, monthly and annual activities in laboratory.
• Follows and performs duties assigned by immediate heads and performs other duties or tasks as needed.
