Qualifications

• Licensed Civil Engineer; post-graduate studies related to bridge or structural engineering preferred.
• Experience in linear infrastructure developments (highways, bridges, railways) and water/marine/energy projects is advantageous.
• Knowledge of civil/structural engineering principles and design methods; familiarity with local codes (NBCP, NSCP, DPWH) and international standards is a plus.
• Experience with design software (STAAD, ETABS, SAP2000, STRAND7, RAM, IDEAStatica, LIMCON) and basic drafting with AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit/Civil3D a plus.
• Familiarity with numerical programming languages (Python, MATLAB, C++, R) is advantageous.

• Lead the delivery of infrastructure projects including bridges, viaducts, culverts, and related structures.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship within the engineering/design team.
• Attend and chair project meetings with clients and stakeholders; document and archive project communications, drawings and reports.

Assist the Project Team in the accomplishment of assigned projects through delivery of accurate and correct drawings and preparation of digital data/figures and other associated drawings.

Job Description:

• Provide technical leadership in the delivery of wide range of infrastructure projects such as bridges & viaducts (road/highway, rail), culverts, liquid and soil retaining structures, buildings (industrial, manufacturing), water (Stormwater, WTP, WWTP, STP, etc.), transport (rail/bus stations, pedestrian), marine (ports, on/offloading facilities, jetties, quays, offshore structures, coastal structures), energy projects (solar, wind, hydropower, LNG), other non-building structures (e.g. equipment and machine support), and large site development projects.

• Authors official documents and technical reports, including setting up the overall framework of the document.
• Conducts and may lead a condition assessment and structural integrity survey team for various types of structures. Participates in site / structure visit for condition survey accordingly.
• Coordinates work with other disciplines.
• Communicates to immediate supervisor in case of important matters that need immediate attention to mitigate negative effect at work

Job Requirements:

• Licensed Civil Engineer: post-graduate studies related to bridge or structural engineering (BSc, MSc, MEng, PhD or DEng) will be an advantage.
• At least 12 years’ experience in a similar capacity with specialization in bridge and/or civil structures engineering (preferably gained from multi-disciplinary consulting firms or local multiple projects).
• Experience in linear infrastructure developments (e.g. highways, bridges and railways), water projects (e.g. Stormwater, WTP, WWTP, STP, pipelines, and sewer network), energy projects (e.g. solar, wind, hydropower, LNG, AC/DC substants, transmission lines), marine infrastructure (e.g. ports, on/offloading terminals, jetties, offshore structures, coastal structures) and large site development projects (e.g. airports, reclamation, industrial parks, solar/wind farms) and other non-building structures (e.g. equipment/machine supports) is considered an advantage.
• Sound knowledge of the fundamental principles of civil and structural engineering including mechanics of materials (steel, concrete, soil, water), techniques and procedures of design including technology/methods of construction.
• Knowledgeable and practical application of code of practices in local (NBCP, NSCP, DPWH) and has advantage for international projects (ASCE, ACI, AISC, AASHTO, FHWA, ASTM, BS, Eurocodes, AS/NZ, etc.).
• In-depth knowledge and practical experience of general analysis & design software (e.g. STAAD, MIDAS Civil, ETABS, SAP2000, Strand7, SpaceGass, Oasys software, etc.; hands-on and practical experience with more sophisticated tools such as LS-DYNA, ANSYS, ABAQUS, HyperWorks, etc. is an advantage.
• Experience in using steel and anchorage to concrete connection design software such IDEAStatica, LIMCON, RAM Connection, HILTI Profis Engineering, etc.
• Proficiency on basic structural engineering drafting using AutoCAD (experience on basic modelling and drafting experience in Revit Structure or Teklas Structures will be a plus); familiarity or developing knowledge in Autodesk Civil3D or OpenRoad Designer and ArcGIS will be a plus.
• Hands-on and practical experience with Infraworks is an advantage.
• Analytical and technical ingenuity in solving design problems.
• Familiar and hands-on application with numerical programming languages such as C++, MATLAB, VB, SQL, Python, R, etc. is favourable especially knowledge in API tools considered on main structural analysis and design software.
• Practical experience in rapid visual surveys, post-disaster surveys, condition assessments, structural integrity surveys, seismic assessments, materials testing and methods (Intrusive/NDT), construction QA/QC and site supervision role is desirable.
• Hands-on and practical experience in application of visual scripting (e.g. Rhino/Grasshopper and Dynamo) with integration to structural engineering tasks (e.g. integrated structural modelling, analysis or design) will be an advantage.
• Hands-on or developing experience in using Power BI to create interactive dashboards for better insights of data used in structural engineering practice (e.g. monitoring progress of deliverables) will be an advantage.
