Job summary

It Tastes GUTZ Coffee is seeking a hands-on Head Barista / Store Supervisor to own day-to-day café operations while actively working behind the bar. You will lead a small team, ensure beverage quality, manage inventory, POS and cash handling, and uphold store standards.

Based at Riverbanks Center, Marikina City, the role requires 2–3 years of barista experience, strong espresso skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to train staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of professional barista experience.
• Strong knowledge of espresso preparation, coffee extraction, milk steaming and beverage preparation.
• Excellent customer service and hospitality skills.
• Experience supervising, coaching, or training café staff.
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, inventory management, and basic store reporting.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the café.
• Lead opening and closing procedures and ensure checklists are completed.
• Prepare espresso-based and other beverages per standards.
• Calibrate espresso to maintain consistency.
• Develop new beverages and test seasonal/signature drinks.
• Supervise, coach, and train café staff during shifts.
• Train new employees on beverage prep, service, POS, and cafe standards.
• Maintain a welcoming, professional customer experience and handle complaints professionally.
• Monitor inventory and coordinate stock replenishment.
• Operate and supervise POS, manage cash/digital payments, and complete daily sales reconciliation.
