CDO Foodsphere, Inc. is seeking an Automation Supervisor to lead the development and implementation of automated processes across the plant.
You will oversee calibration of field instruments, verify I/O and communication networks, and troubleshoot factory automation systems to ensure reliability. You will guide electrical and instrumentation technicians, lead testing and validation of control systems, support CAPEX projects, and drive transitions from manual controls to PLC/HMI integrated
About the role
The Automation Supervisor leads the development and implementation of automated processes and systems across various areas in the company. The role involves understanding instrument and loop calibration concepts, performing calibration using MC6 calibrator and other reference/test standards on field instruments, identifying network status (I/O, Communication), and troubleshooting servers with a strong understanding of FAS (Factory Automation System) and their interconnectivity.
Key responsibilities
Initiate plans and programs for maintenance and improvement of Automation Systems to ensure effectiveness and achieve high equipment reliability
Lead troubleshooting, repair and modification of equipment automation and controls
Provide guidance and training to Electrical and instrumentation technicians on troubleshooting and improvement projects related to automation and control
Lead field execution of testing, calibration and validation of automated systems/equipment, overseeing functional verification of field devices, control systems, and safety loops
Ensure equipment meets design specifications and regulatory requirements
Lead creation of one pager RCA for Automation Failures and provide clear PA for all Automation issues
Participate in new CAPEX projects for Automation and propose improvements for smooth implementation
Evaluate opportunities to eliminate manual operations and discrete controls in favor of PLC-based or HMI-based integrated automation and controls systems
About you
Graduate of Engineering Course
At least 2 years' working knowledge and relevant experience in automation
Knowledge on Automation, PLC and SCADA
Skilled with preparation of tenders for automation/electrical solutions
Experience implementing automation/electrical solutions and writing software code
Strong programming foundation on HMI, PLCs and motion controllers using Rockwell software and other programming languages
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Able to communicate with customers at all levels and capable of managing their expectations
