Standard Bread in Taguig seeks a Head Baker to lead production, blending hands-on baking with strong leadership to ensure quality and efficiency.

You will oversee daily operations, train staff, develop recipes (notably sourdough), and collaborate on new products while upholding the bakery’s values.

This full-time role requires early shifts, weekend availability, and a meticulous, safety‑minded approach in a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years professional baking experience, incl. 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Deep knowledge of sourdough and artisan baking methods.
• Proven ability to lead a team and run bakery operations.
• Meticulous and quality-driven approach to work.
• Willingness to work early shifts, weekends, and holidays when required.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day bread production, ensuring quality, consistency, and smooth workflow
• Train and supervise the baking staff, cultivating a professional yet supportive atmosphere
• Create and improve recipes, particularly for sourdough and slow-fermented breads
• Handle ingredient procurement, stock management, and cost efficiency
• Enforce rigorous cleanliness, safety, and food-handling protocols
• Plan production timelines to match demand and reduce waste
• Work with management on developing new products and business growth
