SORIANOLAW invites an Associate Lawyer to handle diverse cases, conduct client consultations, and perform legal research with drafting memoranda, briefs, and pleadings. Requirements include a law degree, successful Philippine Bar passage, willingness to travel, and flexible hours for extended proceedings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor from a recognized law school.
• Must have passed the Philippine Bar Examination.
• Willingness to travel and attend court hearings or regulatory proceedings.
• Flexible schedule; willing to work extended hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal service support to the legal team
• Provide assistance to the Executive Director's review and mentoring functions
• Assess and give advice on legal risks to the office and clients
• Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations
• Conduct legal research, gather evidence, and prepare legal brief
• Ensure that appropriate approvals are in place before documents are executed
• Explain the law and give advice to clients
• Offer legal representation at administrative, conciliation, or mediation hearings
• Draft or review wills, trusts, estates, contracts, affidavit and deeds
• Manage regulatory and compliance-related services

About the role

The Associate Lawyer will handle various cases as assigned. The role involves conducting client consultation, legal research and drafting memoranda, briefs, and pleadings. You will participate in the activities of our non-profit partner, Community Legal Help and Public Interest Centre (C-Help), and represent clients in court, administrative/investigative/quasi-judicial bodies, and tribunal.
