Job summary

Magsalin Law in the Philippines seeks a capable legal associate to prepare pleadings, court submissions, and commercial agreements, and to conduct in-depth research on relevant laws and jurisprudence.

You will identify precedents, develop persuasive arguments, consult with clients on case details and strategies, provide opinions, and represent clients in hearings and trials within and outside Metro Manila, while collaborating with colleagues for efficient case management.

Qualifications

• Admitted to the Philippine Bar and eligible to practice law.
• 1–3 years of legal practice or related field preferred.
• Strong research, analytical, and drafting abilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, court submissions, and commercial agreements

• Handle multiple cases simultaneously and conduct in-depth legal research on relevant laws and jurisprudence

• Identify applicable legal precedents and develop legal arguments

• Consult with clients to determine case details, merits, and appropriate legal strategies

• Provide legal opinions, advice, and consultations based on established legal authorities

• Represent clients in hearings, trials, and other court proceedings within and outside Metro Manila

• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure efficient case management

Qualifications

• Must be admitted to the Philippine Bar (Fresh Bar Passers are welcome to apply)

• Preferably with one (1) to three (3) years of experience in legal practice or related field

• Strong legal research, analytical, and drafting skills

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Capable of clearly and persuasively communicating complex legal concepts to clients, colleagues, and courts

• High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail
