Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of relevant experience.
- Excellent goal-setting skills and a strong drive to achieve.

Systems, Tools, and Technology
- Experience with DynaScape Design, Structure Studios, CAD-based design tools, or comparable 3D design software.
- Ability to use HubSpot to track prospect and client activity.
- Familiarity with LMN is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to use company process forms and design-to-build documentation.
- Ability to use LeanScaper and other approved company systems.
Responsibilities
Client-Centered Design
- Develop comprehensive landscape plans that reflect each client's goals, lifestyle, property, budget, and approved direction.
- Incorporate hardscapes, plantings, landscape lighting, pools, outdoor kitchens, structures, fire features, drainage, and other outdoor living elements.
- Balance aesthetics, functionality, constructability, maintenance requirements, property conditions, and client priorities.
- Follow applicable county and municipal specifications and regulations.
Sales Collaboration and Client Communication
- Work independently and collaboratively with the Sales team.
- Communicate with Sales and clients throughout the design process, gather feedback, explain trade-offs, and make necessary adjustments.
- Participate in design presentations and sales meetings.
- Build client trust and rapport using the Integrity Selling methodology.
- Use HubSpot to document prospect and client activity, feedback, and design decisions.
Estimating and Project Handoff
- Create preliminary budget estimates and communicate budget considerations early.
- Prepare for and lead handoff meetings with Operations.
- Communicate design intent, materials, decisions, constraints, risks, and outstanding items.
- Use company process forms to provide complete, understandable handoffs.
Project Learning and Ongoing Support
- Participate in post-project reviews and weekly Sales and Production meetings.
- Design warranty projects.
- Apply lessons from completed projects and suggest ideas that improve designs, client experiences, and support for the field team.
- Follow the company's 10/5 communication rule.
Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Complete agreed design milestones on time, as reviewed weekly using the design tracker.
- Produce clear, creative, technically sound, code-aware, and buildable plans, as reviewed per project using design files and records.
- Provide actionable handoffs to Operations, as reviewed per project using handoff checklist.
- Maintain clear records of client feedback, decisions, and outstanding items, as reviewed after each meeting using HubSpot and client records.
- Communicate promptly and professionally, as reviewed on an ongoing basis using HubSpot and team records.
- Participate in training and apply lessons to future work, as reviewed monthly or per project using training and post-project records.

- Develop toward potential opportunities as a Senior Landscape Architect, Design Manager, Sales or Design Leader, or broader design-build leader as opportunities arise.
First 90 Days
- First 30 days: Learn the company's design-to-build process, systems, forms, standards, software, communication expectations, and client experience model.
- By 60 days: Manage assigned design milestones, document decisions consistently, participate confidently in client conversations, and complete effective internal handoffs with support.
- By 90 days: Lead a complete design-to-Operations handoff, contribute to a post-project learning review, and recommend at least one practical improvement to the design process.
