Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. in the Philippines is seeking a PTC Lab Technician to calibrate and maintain Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and temperature-forcing systems, oversee compressor maintenance, and ensure the lab is adequately equipped to meet business unit needs.

You will collaborate with IS, Network, cybersecurity, and vendor teams; manage tool shipments, inventory, and 5S lab standards; and follow safety, ESD, and change-management procedures while upholding Microchip’s guiding values.

Qualifications

Associate degree or technical education in electronics or related field.
At least five years of hands-on experience with ATE and electronics lab equipment.
Working knowledge of calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair practices.
Basic familiarity with Windows and Linux, and network connectivity concepts.
Ability to follow controlled procedures and communicate with engineers and vendors.
Ability to work onsite in an ESD-controlled lab.

Responsibilities

Set up, troubleshoot, calibrate, maintain, and repair PTC lab equipment.
Oversee preventive maintenance schedules for ATE and temperature-forcing systems.
Monitor compressor condition and coordinate maintenance.
Provide first-line assessment of tester-host and software connectivity issues.
Coordinate with IS, Network, and vendor groups to restore services.
Support tester-library, operator-interface, and recovery media checks.
Manage shipments of tools and boards, including packing and documents.
Maintain lab inventories of hardware, tooling, and spare parts.
Adhere to laboratory safety, ESD, and change-management requirements.
Foster Microchip Guiding Values in daily work.
