About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Staff member to join the team at ZC Kings Manpower Janitorial Services Cooperative. This is a full-time position based in Calamba City, Laguna. As Kitchen Staff, you will play a vital role in maintaining the efficiency and cleanliness of our kitchen operations whilst supporting the preparation and delivery of quality food services. Your contribution will directly impact the overall dining experience and operational success of our hospitality services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of food items including chopping, mixing, and cooking ingredients according to established recipes and quality standards

• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment by washing dishes, utensils, and work surfaces regularly throughout shifts

• Support the kitchen team in food plating and portioning to ensure consistency and presentation standards

• Store food items and ingredients correctly, following proper food safety and storage protocols

• Assist in receiving and checking deliveries of food and kitchen supplies, verifying quantities and quality

• Operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain it in good working condition

• Follow all food hygiene and safety regulations to prevent contamination and ensure food safety compliance

• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management to coordinate workflow and address any concerns

• Assist in the setup and breakdown of kitchen areas as directed

What we're looking for

• Previous experience working in a kitchen environment, either as kitchen staff or in a similar food preparation role

• Strong understanding of food hygiene, sanitation practices, and food safety standards

• Physical stamina and ability to work in a fast-paced, standing environment for extended periods

• Excellent time management and organisational skills

• Ability to follow instructions carefully and work as part of a cohesive team

• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards

• Reliability and punctuality in attending shifts

• Willingness to learn and adapt to kitchen procedures and equipment

• Basic communication skills in English and/or Filipino

• A food handler's certificate or willingness to obtain one would be advantageous
