Job summary

My Happy Concept Group in Metro Manila is seeking a diligent Steward to maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and operational efficiency of kitchen and restaurant facilities. You will support dishwashing, equipment care, and food safety compliance to ensure a safe, hygienic working environment.

As part of the team you will wash, clean, and sanitize dishes and utensils, keep the dishwashing area organized, and assist with basic cleaning of kitchen spaces, storage, and back-of-house areas.

Responsibilities

• Wash, clean, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using approved cleaning procedures.
• Ensure all cleaned items are properly dried, organized, and stored for operational use.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure the continuous availability of clean kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen work areas, storage rooms, walk‑in chillers, receiving areas, and back‑of‑house facilities.
• Sweep, mop, and sanitize floors, drains, walls, countertops, and other kitchen surfaces.
• Properly segregate and dispose of waste, ensuring garbage areas remain clean and sanitary.
• Clean and properly maintain dishwashing machines, sinks, kitchen equipment, and cleaning tools.
• Handle kitchen equipment and utensils carefully to prevent damage or loss.
• Report damaged equipment, maintenance issues, or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
• Assist kitchen staff with basic cleaning and operational tasks during food preparation and service.
• Help receive, organize, and store kitchen supplies and deliveries when required.
• Ensure cleaning supplies and kitchen essentials are adequately stocked.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and workplace safety standards in accordance with company policies and health regulations.
• Properly handle cleaning chemicals and sanitation materials according to safety guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment at all times.
• Coordinate effectively with kitchen and restaurant staff to support smooth daily operations.
• Maintain professionalism, teamwork, and a positive working attitude.
• Follow company policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and safety regulations.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management.
