Job summary

KitchenCare Consultancy Phils Inc. is seeking a reliable Commissary Steward to maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the commissary or central kitchen.

You will support the culinary team by ensuring that equipment, utensils, and preparation areas are cleaned and maintained according to food safety standards. The role requires basic cleaning and sanitation knowledge, physical stamina to stand and lift, and willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as Kitchen Steward, Dishwasher, Utility Worker, or similar position preferred.
• Experience in commissary, central kitchen, hotel, restaurant, or food production facility is an advantage.
• Knowledge of basic cleaning, sanitation, and food safety practices.
• Able to stand for long periods.
• Able to lift and carry kitchen supplies and equipment as required.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Wash, clean, and sanitize kitchen utensils, pots, pans, trays, containers, and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the commissary kitchen, preparation areas, storage areas, sinks, floors, and workstations.
• Assist in cleaning and sanitizing food preparation equipment after use.
• Ensure all utensils, containers, and equipment are properly cleaned and stored.
• Assist the kitchen team in maintaining an organized and efficient work area.
• Collect, segregate, and properly dispose of kitchen waste and garbage.
• Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures.
• Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and according to established procedures.
• Report damaged equipment, maintenance concerns, or sanitation issues to the supervisor.
• Perform regular deep-cleaning of kitchen areas and equipment.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and moving kitchen supplies or equipment when required.
• Support commissary operations and perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
