Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Preparing ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, chopping and portioning vegetables, fruits and other food items.
• Assisting with food preparation tasks under the direction of senior kitchen staff.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, including washing dishes, pots, pans and utensils.
• Ensuring proper storage of ingredients and food items in accordance with food safety standards.
• Supporting the plating and presentation of dishes for service.
• Disposing of waste and maintaining hygiene standards throughout the kitchen area.
• Restocking kitchen supplies and informing supervisors when items require replenishment.
• Following all food safety and health regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
