Qualifications

• Completion of secondary education or equivalent.
• Food handling and hygiene certification (or willingness to obtain certification during employment).
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen and shifts.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing ingredients and semi-prepared items according to established recipes and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety protocols in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
• Support the cooking and assembly of food items for service in the food court.
• Manage stock rotation, organisation of ingredients, and reporting of supply shortages.
• Assist in receiving and storing deliveries in appropriate conditions.
• Support kitchen staff during service periods and assist with plating and presentation of food items.
• Participate in inventory management and waste reduction initiatives.
• Learn and apply point-of-sale systems and food ordering processes as part of management training.
• Observe and assist with staff scheduling, training coordination, and kitchen team leadership activities.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Contribute to maintaining a positive and productive kitchen environment.
