Kon-Tiki Hospitality Corp. in Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Zambales, is seeking a Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team.

This full-time role supports kitchen operations, aids in food preparation, and helps maintain cleanliness and food safety standards to ensure guests receive high-quality meals. You will work with our chefs to organize ingredients, wash and chop vegetables, stock shelves, and assist with inventory and general kitchen tasks.

• Stock shelves and rotate inventory to support efficient operations.

About the role

Is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team at our location in Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Zambales. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in supporting our kitchen operations and ensuring the smooth delivery of high-quality food services to our guests. As a Kitchen Helper, you will work alongside our experienced chefs and kitchen staff to maintain cleanliness, prepare ingredients, and assist in food preparation, contributing directly to the exceptional dining experiences we provide.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and organize ingredients and supplies for cooking, ensuring all items are fresh and properly stored
• Wash, peel and chop vegetables, fruits and other food items according to recipe specifications and kitchen standards
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment
• Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation tasks, plating and garnishing of dishes
• Follow food safety protocols and handle food in compliance with health and sanitation regulations
• Stock shelves, organise storage areas and rotate inventory to ensure efficient kitchen operations
• Support general kitchen maintenance and assist with equipment cleaning and organisation
• Respond to requests from kitchen staff and assist with various tasks as needed to support meal service
• Report any damaged equipment or ingredients to supervisory staff immediately

What we're looking for

• Previous experience working in a kitchen, restaurant or hospitality environment is advantageous
• Strong work ethic with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members
• Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry items regularly
• Attention to detail and adherence to food preparation and safety guidelines
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays as required
• Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff
• No specific formal qualifications required, though basic literacy and numeracy are essential
