Job summary

MoneeInsure Philippines is seeking a Junior Underwriter to develop and maintain underwriting SOPs and criteria that ensure regulatory compliance while managing daily underwriting operations in collaboration with local and regional teams.

This role drives system enhancements and process optimizations through cross-functional collaboration and support quality assurance and UAT to enhance underwriting efficiency and product experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; 1–2 years in insurance underwriting or related operations
• Knowledge of underwriting principles, risk assessment, policy terms and conditions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for evaluating standard risks
• Good written and verbal communication; ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to manage workloads to meet quality, productivity, and turnaround-time standards

Responsibilities

• Perform underwriting operations in line with approved guidelines and SLAs
• Review applications and supporting documents for completeness and compliance
• Assess risks within delegated authority and provide initial recommendations
• Support development and updates of underwriting guidelines, SOPs, and manuals
• Participate in UAT and testing for system enhancements and product configurations
• Maintain governance and documentation to support audits and regulatory reviews
