Job summary

DAI Post Philippines is seeking a Junior Software Developer to support the development and maintenance of its custom operational systems, including the Transport Management System. You will build foundational engineering skills in a C#/.NET environment hosted on AWS and Azure.

Under guidance, you will deliver coding tasks, fixes and tests to agreed standards, contributing to the reliability of platforms that support freight and logistics operations.

Qualifications

• Up to two years commercial experience or a relevant qualification with project work.
• Foundational OOP, ideally in C# or a comparable language.
• Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL.
• Basic understanding of version control and SDLC.

The Junior Software Developer supports the development and maintenance of DAI Post's custom operational systems, including the Transport Management System, building foundational engineering skills within a C# and .NET environment hosted across AWS and Microsoft Azure.

Working under guidance, the role delivers well-defined coding tasks, fixes, and tests to agreed standards, and contributes to the quality and reliability of the platforms that support the freight and logistics business.

The role works closely with senior developers, systems analysts, and vendor partners, learning DAI Post's standards, tools, and ways of working while steadily growing in capability and independence.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• Up to two years commercial experience, or a relevant qualification with demonstrable project work.
• Foundational object-oriented programming, ideally in C# or a comparable language.
• Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL.
• Basic understanding of version control and the software development lifecycle.
• Evidence of learning capability, such as a portfolio, coursework, or personal projects.
• Clear written and spoken English, and a constructive response to feedback and guidance.
• Exposure to .NET, ASP.NET, or web API development.
• Exposure to cloud services on AWS or Azure.
• Awareness of secure-coding fundamentals and automated testing.
• Interest in transport, logistics, or operational systems.

Working Arrangements

• Full-time role based in the Philippines, with an agreed daily overlap with Australian Eastern time.
• DAI Post managed device, multi-factor authentication, and approved development tooling are required.
• Occasional release or support activity outside standard hours, by prior agreement and in line with applicable entitlements.
• Appointment is subject to satisfactory background and reference checks.
