Job summary

One Zone Asia Philippines, Inc. is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer (MEP) to join our team in Angeles, Philippines. The role focuses on mechanical building services design, HVAC systems, and compliance with international standards.

You will mentor junior engineers, support on-site project delivery, and ensure accurate calculations and documentation. Qualified candidates have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, a professional license, and hands-on experience with AutoCAD/Revit, E20 HAP,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/building services engineering.
• Licensed or registered professional engineer is required.
• Experience with MEP design for local and international projects.
• Knowledge of HVAC codes and standards (CIBSE, ASHRAE, BS/UK).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for layout and sizing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality and correctness of tasks by following QA/QC checks.
• On-board, train and mentor junior engineers on team projects.
• Demonstrate engineering design and calculations to juniors.
• Deliver tasks on time as set by the Senior Engineer/Manager.
• Monitor hours and align with day sheets for task completion.
• Ensure tasks pass QAQC before final review.
• Report project status and time spent to seniors/managers.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• To ensure the quality and correctness of the tasks assigned to him. This shall be accomplished by following the QP-12 procedure and ensuring the drawings, calculations, and documentation are fully checked prior to the QAQC review by the Senior Engineer.


• To on-board new engineers joining the team, train and mentor junior and intermediate engineers assigned to the employee, and to correctly action the requests assigned by the Senior Engineer or Engineering Managers.


• The Engineer must ensure he shows how to perform the engineering design and calculations to the junior and intermediate engineers assisting him.


• The Engineer is responsible to deliver the tasks assigned to him in line with the deadline set by the Senior Engineer, and the hours allocated to complete the tasks.


• The Engineer must control the hours allocated to him to complete the tasks assigned in line with the day sheets monitored by the Senior Engineer, or Engineering Manager.


• The Engineer must ensure the completed tasks and projects are checked before they are QAQC’ed by the Senior Engineer or Engineering Manager.


• The Engineer reports to the Senior Engineer or Engineering Manager about the status of the projects and tasks assigned to him and the time spent.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Building Services).


• Must possess Professional License or Registered Mechanical Engineer.


• Knowledge of various codes and standards such as CIBSE Guides and ASHRAE.


• Knowledge of British Standards and Australian Standards is an advantage.


• Full understanding of Mechanical Building Services design. Should have in-depth knowledge and experience in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning systems.


• Knowledge in Plumbing and Drainage and Fire Protection is an advantage.


• Proficient in software calculation such as E20 HAP and Hevacomp/IES Software.


• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit. Working experience with sizing ductwork and pipework.


• UK design experience is an advantage.


• At least 1-5 years of experience in the design of local and/or international MEP projects.


• Proficient in written and verbal English
