Job summary

PV&D Law Group in the Philippines is seeking a Junior Legal Counsel to support litigation, corporate transactions, contract management, and regulatory compliance. You will draft and review commercial agreements, assist with company incorporations and corporate records, and liaise with SEC and other authorities.

About the role

The Junior Legal Counsel will assist in providing legal support and representation in litigation, corporate transactions, contract management, and regulatory compliance. The role involves monitoring legal cases, advising management on legal matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and coordinating with courts and government agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and handle ongoing legal cases, provide legal advice, and assist in litigation and appellate proceedings before courts and quasi-judicial agencies, particularly in land registration and labor cases.
• Draft, review, and evaluate various commercial and corporate agreements, legal documents, demand letters, and settlement agreements.
• Provide legal advice on proposed corporate transactions.
• Assist in securing government approvals, processing regulatory applications, and ensuring compliance with SEC and other government requirements.
• Assist in company incorporation, amendments to articles of incorporation, capital stock increases, and maintenance of corporate records, including stock and transfer books.

About you

• Juris Doctor or Bachelor of Laws degree.
• Member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP).
• Preferably with 2–3 years of experience in a Philippine law firm.
• Knowledge of corporate law, labor law, industry-specific regulations, and court litigation and proceedings.
• Strong legal research, drafting, analytical, and communication skills.

Work Schedule (On-site)

• Regular working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30AM to 5:30PM
• Working hours may be extended depending on business requirements.
