Job summary

Makro Philippines is seeking a Junior HR Business Partner to support recruitment, payroll, and training as part of a growing start-up in the wholesale retail space.

You will partner with business unit leaders to deliver HR solutions, manage candidate screening, set up the HRIS, and help ensure statutory compliance while delivering effective onboarding and learning programs.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of HR experience, ideally with exposure to recruitment and payroll.
• Working knowledge of Philippine labor law and statutory requirements.
• Comfortable presenting and facilitating sessions for groups.
• Proficient in MS Office; experience with an HRIS is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving start-up environment; retail or wholesale experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment: Help build and promote Makro's employer value proposition (EVP) and employer brand.

• Payroll and HRIS: Help set up and roll out our HRIS, including employee data and process configuration.
• Payroll and HRIS: Support payroll inputs and timekeeping, and help ensure accurate records and statutory compliance.
• Training: Deliver new hire onboarding and orientation sessions.
• Training: Assist in creating training materials and facilitator guides.
• HR Admin: Support employee onboarding, contracts, and 201 file maintenance.

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities:
