Job summary

Metrobank in the Philippines seeks a Fraud MIS analyst to deliver regular and ad-hoc MIS reports and maintain fraud databases. The role supports the Fraud MIS Head with analytics and acts as a back-up for analytics functions, including parameter settings.

The candidate will produce reports within defined timelines, enhance reporting architectures, and perform SAS-based analyses to detect fraud trends. Onsite work is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree holder in Statistics or IT/Software Programming.
• At least 2 years of work experience in a financial institution, preferably from a credit card company.
• Proficient in SAS (at least 1 year programming experience).
• Experience in database management/report generation; Cardlink application is an advantage.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Willing to report onsite 100%.

Responsibilities

• Generate all the regular reports for periodic review of the Fraud Teams within turn-around-time.
• Maintain and monitor the fraud databases from end-to-end and ensure accuracy and timeliness of update.
• Produce and modify report architectures to improve efficiency and accuracy of Fraud reporting.
• Work with internal clients to understand requirements and create SAS programs to satisfy MI requests within the agreed Turn-Around Time.
• Utilize SAS to analyze fraud trends for acquiring and issuing businesses to ensure detection parameters are updated.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through segmentation and false positive analysis, ad-hoc queries, and supporting reports.
• Perform ad-hoc analyses with relevant data to aid management decisions.
• Generate lists of affected accounts via SAS based on requirements.
• Initiate process improvements and automation projects via SAS and other tools to manage the team’s FTE.
• Monitor fraud server resources and archive documents monthly.
• Monitor volume handled by detection teams to manage FTE capacity.
• Maintain integrity of reports using techniques aligned with business objectives.
• Serve as primary back-up of the Fraud MIS Head functions.
