Job summary

Emapta Philippines is seeking a Junior BIM Modeler - Structural to develop accurate BIM models and construction documents for Singapore projects. You will work with Revit, Tekla, and AutoCAD under senior guidance, ensuring model health and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 1–3 years of structural BIM modeling or drafting experience.
• Exposure to precast, PPVC, or DfMA projects is a plus.
• Basic understanding of Eurocode 2 / SS EN reinforcement detailing conventions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update structural Revit and Tekla models for foundations, columns, beams, slabs, and roofs to the required LOD.
• Model precast and DfMA elements, including connections and cast-in items.
• Maintain gridlines, levels, and shared coordinates in federated models.
• Produce structural shop drawings and reinforcement drawings from BIM models.
• Assist in extracting quantities for procurement and project handover.
• Coordinate with engineers to resolve clashes and sign-off on model views.

The Qualifications We Seek

Education and Professional Background

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building, Construction, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 1-3 years of structural BIM modeling or structural drafting experience; construction experience preferred
• Exposure to precast, PPVC, or other DfMA projects is an advantage
• Basic understanding of Eurocode 2 / SS EN reinforcement detailing conventions

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit Structure and AutoCAD
• Working knowledge of Tekla Structures, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360, and Bluebeam Revu
• Ability to read and interpret structural design drawings, rebar schedules, and precast erection drawings
• Basic understanding of construction sequencing and temporary works interfaces

Core Competencies

• Methodical approach and strong dimensional accuracy, with an understanding of how modeling errors can affect casting-yard and site activities
• Willingness to learn structural rationale beyond modeling mechanics
• Reliability when working within casting, submission, and coordination deadlines
• Team-oriented approach with clear written and verbal communication skills in English

General Requirements

• Availability for a five-day workweek, with overtime when required to meet submission and coordination deadlines

Your Daily Tasks

• Develop and update structural Revit and Tekla models for foundations, pile caps, columns, walls, beams, slabs, staircases, ramps, and roof structures to the required Level of Development (LOD)
• Model precast and DfMA elements, including connections, joints, and cast-in items, under senior guidance
• Model sleeves, openings, box-outs, embeds, and kickers as directed following coordination sign-off
• Maintain accurate gridlines, levels, setting-out information, and shared coordinates consistent with the federated model
• Provide structural BIM modeling services to support tender preparation and submission

BIM Coordination Support

• Prepare model views, exports, and markups for structural coordination reviews
• Rectify assigned structural clashes and update models according to coordination decisions
• Flag penetrations, discrepancies, and buildability issues to the Senior BIM Modeler for engineer review

Structural Documentation

• Produce structural shop drawings, precast element drawings, reinforcement drawings, and bar bending schedules from the BIM model
• Assist in extracting concrete, formwork, rebar, and precast quantities for procurement and claims
• Prepare and update as-built structural models and drawings for project handover
• Comply with the project BIM Execution Plan (BEP), naming conventions, workset structures, and Common Data Environment (CDE) protocols
• Maintain model health, resolve warnings, and manage linked models and revision control
• Maintain accurate and current drawing registers, revision clouds, and transmittal records
