Job summary

BIGGS is seeking a Junior Accountant to support the Corporate Finance Department with daily accounting tasks, posting journal entries, updating balances for accounts receivable and accounts payable, processing expenses, and preparing monthly financial statements. Fresh graduates are welcome.

The role requires diligence, accuracy, and the ability to work under pressure, with overtime and weekend/holiday coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems, preferably Odoo.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial processing.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Post journal entries and update AR/AP balances.
• Process expenses and prepare monthly financial statements.
• Support Corporate Finance with daily tasks and special projects.
• Assist with Philippine tax compliance (VAT, withholding taxes, BIR) as needed.
