Job summary

Sealed Air is seeking a Financial Accounting associate in Makati to support month-end close, inventory accounting, and cost reporting. The role involves preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and inventory valuations, with collaboration across Supply Chain, Procurement, and Operations.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Accountancy, 0–2 years of related experience, and strong English communication. SAP familiarity plus willingness to learn standard costing are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy is required.
• CPA designation preferred or similar.
• 0-2 years accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, inventory, cost, logistics, or supply chain accounting.
• Internship or prior experience in month-end close, reconciliations, inventory or cost accounting is a plus.
• Familiarity with SAP and accounting software is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close activities including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for inventory and supply chain accounts.
• Investigate variances in inventory valuation, PPV, freight, and standard costs.
• Produce recurring supply chain accounting reports and variance analyses.
• Assist with standard costing, inventory valuation, and related processes under supervision.

Responsibilities

• -Support recurring month-end close activities, including journal entry preparation, accrual support, account analysis, close schedules, and supporting documentation.
• -Prepare assigned balance sheet reconciliations for supply chain accounting balances, including inventory, inventory in transit, freight accruals, logistics-related accounts, and other supply chain accounting balances.
• -Assist with investigation of accounting variances involving inventory valuation, purchase price variance, freight, standard costs, and other supply chain accounting accounts.
• -Prepare recurring supply chain accounting reports, including inventory reports, cost reports, logistics accounting reports, and variance support.
• -Escalate unusual items, reconciling differences, or data issues to senior team members or Accounting leadership.
• -Support standard cost and inventory accounting activities, including standard cost updates, inventory reserve support, inventory adjustments, and inventory reconciliations.
• -Support accounting activities related to freight, warehousing, procurement, inventory movements, and inventory valuation.
• -Assist with accounting review of standard costs, inventory valuation, purchase price variance, freight accounting, and other supply chain accounting activities under guidance from senior team members.
• -Support compliance with accounting policies and internal controls for assigned supply chain accounting processes.
• -Support internal and external audit requests by preparing documentation and responding to information requests with guidance from senior team members.
• -Maintain accurate support documentation for assigned journal entries, reconciliations, and close activities.
• -Partner with Supply Chain Accounting, Corporate Accounting, Plant Controllers, Procurement, Logistics, and other stakeholders to support timely financial close.
• -Support documentation and standardization of recurring supply chain accounting processes.
• -Identify basic process improvement opportunities and elevate ideas to senior team members or Accounting leadership.

Qualifications

Experience:

• -Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy required.
• -CPA or Registered Cost Accountant designation preferred.
• -0-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, inventory, cost, logistics, supply chain accounting, shared services, or general accounting.
• -Internship or prior experience supporting month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, inventory accounting, or cost accounting preferred.
• -Familiarity with SAP preferred; experience with OneStream, Power BI, inventory systems, or costing systems is a plus.
• -Interest in manufacturing, procurement, logistics, distribution, or supply chain accounting preferred.

• -Basic understanding of accounting principles, inventory accounting, and financial reporting.
• -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate variances and follow up on accounting issues.
• -Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage assigned tasks and meet deadlines.
• -Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively with Accounting, Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, and Operations stakeholders.
• -Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• -Willingness to learn inventory accounting, standard costing, freight accounting, logistics accounting, and supply chain accounting processes.
• -Detail-oriented with a high standard for accuracy and quality.
• -Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on process consistency and efficiency.
• -Ability to work onsite in Makati three days per week.
