Job summary

Sealed Air in Makati City, Philippines, is seeking a Supply Chain Accounting professional with 4–6 years of manufacturing experience to support month-end close, reconciliations, inventory and cost accounting, and related analyses.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to review inventory valuation, standard costs, freight, and variances, and to improve processes. Coaching junior team members is expected; onsite three days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy required.
• 4–6 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, inventory, cost, logistics, or supply chain accounting.
• Experience supporting month-end close, reconciliations, inventory accounting, standard costing, freight accounting, or supply chain accounting required.
• Experience reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, close schedules, and accounting support documentation preferred.

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supply Chain Accounting Operations

• Support and review recurring month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, account analysis, close schedules, and supporting documentation.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations for assigned supply chain accounting balances, including inventory, inventory in transit, freight accruals, logistics-related accounts, and other supply chain accounting balances.
• Investigate accounting variances involving inventory valuation, purchase price variance, freight, standard costs, and other supply chain accounting accounts, escalating issues as appropriate.
• Prepare and review recurring supply chain accounting reports, including inventory reports, cost reports, logistics accounting reports, and variance analyses.
• Support timely resolution of close issues by coordinating with Supply Chain Accounting, Corporate Accounting, Procurement, Logistics, Plant Controllers, and other stakeholders.

Inventory & Cost Accounting

• Support standard cost maintenance and inventory accounting activities, including standard cost updates, inventory reserve analysis, inventory adjustments, and inventory reconciliations.
• Support accounting activities related to freight, warehousing, procurement, inventory movements, and inventory valuation.
• Assist Supply Chain Accounting with accounting review of standard costs, inventory valuation, purchase price variance, freight accounting, and other supply chain accounting activities.
• Review complex supply chain accounting activities and provide guidance to junior accountants as needed.

Controls & Compliance

• Support compliance with accounting policies and internal controls for assigned supply chain accounting processes.
• Support internal and external audit requests through preparation, review, and timely submission of documentation.
• Identify control gaps or recurring issues and support remediation actions with Accounting leadership.

Stakeholder Partnership & Process Improvement

• Partner with Supply Chain Accounting, Corporate Accounting, Plant Controllers, Procurement, Logistics, and other stakeholders to resolve accounting issues and support timely financial close.
  Support training and knowledge-sharing with junior accountants and other team members.
  Identify opportunities to standardize, document, and improve recurring supply chain accounting processes.
  Support process improvement initiatives related to journal entries, reconciliations, close schedules, reporting templates, and issue resolution workflows.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy required.
• 4–6 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, inventory, cost, logistics, or supply chain accounting.
• Experience supporting month-end close, account reconciliations, inventory accounting, standard costing, freight accounting, or supply chain accounting required.
• Experience reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, close schedules, and accounting support documentation preferred.
• Experience with SAP required; experience with OneStream, Power BI, inventory systems, or costing systems preferred.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, procurement, logistics, or distribution accounting processes preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate accounting issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions.

• Ability to review work, coach junior team members, and support knowledge transfer.
• Collaborative team player with the ability to build effective relationships across Accounting, Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, and Operations.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

• Ability to work onsite in Makati three days per week.
