Job summary

Sealed Air Corporation in Makati seeks an Accountant, Supply Chain Accounting Support to assist Manila-based supply chain accounting activities. Qualifications

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to Accounting leadership, the Accountant, Supply Chain Accounting Support is responsible for supporting Manila-based supply chain accounting activities for assigned business units and regions. The role serves as an extension of the Accounting organization by providing month-end close support, inventory accounting, standard cost accounting, journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, logistics and freight accounting support, and other supply chain accounting activities.

The Accountant partners closely with Supply Chain Accounting, Corporate Accounting, Plant Controllers, Procurement, Logistics, and other cross-functional stakeholders to support timely financial close, accurate inventory valuation, strong internal controls, and standardized accounting processes across the supply chain organization.

Supply Chain Accounting Operations

• Support recurring month-end close activities, including journal entry preparation, accruals, account analysis, close schedules, and supporting documentation.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for assigned supply chain accounting balances, including inventory, inventory in transit, freight accruals, logistics-related accounts, and other supply chain accounting balances.
• Investigate accounting variances involving inventory valuation, purchase price variance (PPV), freight, standard costs, and other supply chain accounting accounts, escalating issues as appropriate.
• Prepare recurring supply chain accounting reports, including inventory reports, cost reports, logistics accounting reports, and variance analyses.

Inventory & Cost Accounting

• Support standard cost maintenance and inventory accounting activities, including standard cost updates, inventory reserve analysis, inventory adjustments, and inventory reconciliations.
• Support accounting activities related to freight, warehousing, procurement, inventory movements, and inventory valuation.
• Assist Supply Chain Accounting with accounting review of standard costs, inventory valuation, purchase price variance (PPV), and other supply chain accounting activities.

Controls & Compliance

• Support compliance with accounting policies and internal controls for assigned supply chain accounting processes.
• Support internal and external audit requests through preparation of documentation and timely responses to information requests.

Stakeholder Partnership

• Partner with Supply Chain Accounting, Corporate Accounting, Plant Controllers, Procurement, Logistics, and other stakeholders to resolve accounting issues and support timely financial close.
• Identify opportunities to standardize, document, and improve recurring supply chain accounting processes.

Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy required.
• CPA or Registered Cost Accountant designation preferred.
• 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, inventory, cost, or supply chain accounting.
• Experience supporting month-end close, inventory accounting, standard costing, or supply chain accounting preferred.
• Experience with SAP required; experience with OneStream, Power BI, inventory systems, or costing systems preferred.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, procurement, logistics, or distribution accounting processes preferred.
