Job summary

Cityatate Savings Bank in Palawan seeks a seasoned Jewelry Appraiser to accept and appraise gold and diamond jewelry, ensuring compliance and accurate encoding of details, with timely processing of loans and related charges.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience as a Jewelry Appraiser, strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and excellent communication. Must be computer literate and willing to relocate to Palawan before starting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Appraise and accept jewelry (yellow gold, white gold, and with diamond stones) per department rate issued by Jewelry Loans Department.
• Determine appraised values of diamonds based on the diamond acceptance rate price provided by Jewelry Loans Department.
• Process new loan, renewal, redemption, partial payment, reappraisal, pull-out and hold.
• Compute the total amount to be paid by the client such as interest, documentary stamp, service charge, and penalty.
• Issue an official receipt for renewal, redemption, partial payment and reappraisal with the approval of Service Head/officer's in charge.
• Prepares daily transaction report and submits to the Branch Officer for signature and approval.
• Update Jewelry Outstanding Loan/Masterlist, monthly BSP report, Client profiling, and other reports that may be deemed necessary.
• Safekeeping of all duplicate promissory note.
• Deliver client service standard including full knowledge of all products and services of the Bank.

About the role

Accepts and performs efficient and accurate appraisals of gold and diamond jewelry. Process and meet the turnaround time standard and error free encoding of details. Ensure that all required documents are meeting the compliance standard.

Key responsibilities

• Directly reporting to the Jewelry Loan Department Head
• Appraise and accept jewelry; yellow gold, white gold, and with diamond stones based on the gold acceptance rate issued by Jewelry Loans Department
• Determine appraised values of diamonds based on the diamond acceptance rate price provided by Jewelry Loans Department
• Process new loan, renewal, redemption, partial payment, reappraisal, pull-out and hold
• Compute the total amount to be paid by the client such as interest, documentary stamp, service charge, and penalty
