Job summary

Dempsey Resource Management is seeking a bilingual Assistant Translator/Secretarial staff for Sta. Rosa Laguna. The role supports Japanese expatriates, translates communications, and handles site coordination with the team and visitors.

Applicants should be under 45, hold a business-related degree, and have JLPT N2/N3 certification. Experience in logistics or warehousing is a plus, along with excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Age not more than 45 years old.
• Graduate/Undergraduate of any business related course.
• JLPT N2 or N3 certificate.
• Experience in logistics and warehousing is a plus.
• High level of customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Assist the Japanese expatriate in daily communication with team members and visitors; translate communications (Japanese to English and vice versa).
• Secretarial duties and other related tasks as assigned.
• Physically fit to work and able to start as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Convert concepts in the source language to equivalent concepts in the target language.
• Compile glossaries/terminology databases for translations.
• Speak, read, and write in at least two languages, including English and Japanese.
• Relay the style and tone of the original language.
• Manage work schedules to meet deadlines.
• Render spoken messages accurately and clearly.
• Train interns in vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, reading of Japanese, Hiragana and Katakana.
• Site Assignment: Sta. Rosa Laguna.
