Job summary

Shopee is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Supervisor to oversee the design, installation and maintenance of mechanical systems for Shopee Express facilities. You will lead engineering teams, coordinate with vendors and sub-contractors, and review drawings to ensure regulatory compliance and project success.

Candidate should have a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering with 2–3 years of relevant experience, strong leadership, and proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in similar industries, partly in an international setting.
• Knowledge of local and international regulations regarding mechanical issues.
• Proficiency in engineering/design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise vendor, engineering team, procurement, construction, installation, commissioning, repair and maintenance for Shopee Express facilities.
• Design mechanical systems for projects including auto sorting machines and warehouse facilities.
• Review proposed changes to engineering standards, policies or details.
• Review and evaluate engineering documents (drawings, blueprints, schematics).
• Lead preventive maintenance programs, training, scheduling, inventory, and efficiency initiatives.
• Coordinate construction and commissioning activities with vendors and sub-contractors.
• Oversee maintenance schedules, work orders, and resource utilization.
• Generate system change documentation to improve efficiency, safety and reliability.
• Supervise engineers and technicians to achieve project goals.
• Manage projects focusing on cost, timeline and quality.

Job Description:

• Supervise Vendor, engineering team, procurement,construction, installation, commissioning, repair and maintenance for Shopee Express facilities
• Responsible for all aspects concerning the design of mechanical systems of the project e.g. auto sorting machines, warehouse facilities mechanical, fire protection and plumbing
• Review and critique proposed changes to engineering standards, policies or details.
• Review and evaluation of company and third party engineering documents, like drawings, diagrams, blueprints, schematics and other technical drawings etc.
• Provides counsel and leadership in establishing and refining preventive maintenance programs, employee training programs, manpower scheduling techniques, parts room inventory, efficiency improvement programs, regulatory compliance programs, etc.
• Coordinate and supervise construction and commissioning activities of vendors and mechanical construction/installation sub-contractors.
• Oversees maintenance procedures, schedules, work orders, and makes tactical decisions to optimize utilization of resources in alignment with equipment availability and plant priorities
• Generate system change documentation to increase operating efficiency, performance, safety, and reliability.
• Supervise engineers and technicians in responsibility to accomplish their job in the most effective way.
• Manage and control projects including, but not limited to, engineering and operations on the basis of cost, timeline and quality.

Requirements:

• At least a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience
• At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in similar industries, at least partly in an international setting
• Knowledge of local and international legal regulations regarding mechanical issues.
• Proficiency in engineering and design computer software to complete assigned work (e.g. AutoCAD, Solidworks)
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, good analytical and problem solving capabilities, self-motivated, team player and strong communicator
• Agile, flexible, able to work under pressure and highly-dynamic environment
